In this article I will show you how to install the Kazam screen recorder and explain how to record the screen on Ubuntu.
What is Kazam?
Kazam is a simple screen recording program that will capture the content of your screen and record a video file that can be played by any video player that supports VP8/WebM video format.
More so, you can record sound from any sound input device that is supported and visible by PulseAudio.

Installation process
Step 1
Press Control, Alt and T to open the terminal.
CTRL + ALT + T
Step 2
Type in this command below and press ENTER. Immediately you will be prompted to enter your root password. After putting it, again press enter for the process to continue.
sudo apt-get install kazam
You will again be prompted to accept the size file of the application you are about to install: (Y/N) and press or enter (Y) to accept.
Lastly, wait for the program to download the necessary files or packages from the internet and you will be good to go.

what is apt?
